Overview
The Sensor Installation & Commissioning Service is a comprehensive, on-site service delivered by the MFC team to ensure your IoT temperature monitoring system is fully operational, optimally positioned, and properly configured for your business environment.
This service includes pre-deployment configuration, physical installation of sensors and gateways, connectivity validation, user onboarding, traceability setup, and formal system handover.
Service Inclusions
Pre-Deployment Configuration
Pre-configure all sensors and gateways prior to site arrival
Assign device IDs and prepare operational dashboard templates
On-Site Installation Tasks
Sensor Placement:
Install sensors inside fridges, cold rooms, and freezers
Secure sensors using zip ties or mounts (drilling where required)
Label sensors based on operational layout
Gateway Installation:
Identify and secure optimal gateway placement for connectivity
Power up and confirm signal integrity and coverage
Visual Documentation:
Capture images of each sensor and its installation environment
Used for system traceability and asset verification
QR/NFC Tagging & Access
Install QR code + NFC tag units to all relevant fridges or cold rooms
Physical tags serve as permanent identifiers for quick access
Users can:
Scan QR/NFC to pull up asset-specific data
View historical data and logs through dashboard or mobile scan
Improves traceability, asset mapping, and operational clarity
Commissioning & Testing
Perform signal quality assessment (spread factor and strength)
Verify connectivity to cloud via LoRaWAN and/or SIM-based backhaul
Conduct live testing and data validation
Complete Testing & Commissioning Report for internal sign-off
Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with client and collect signatures
User Setup & Handover
Create user accounts and alert recipients (engineering, hygiene, culinary teams)
Configure notification workflows and operational alert settings
Final system walkthrough with client
Provide initial training as required
Pricing & Scope Notes
Service Rate: USD $1,200 per day per MFC technician
Sensor Throughput: Up to 40 sensors installed per day per technician
Team Size: May vary based on scope and deadline
Project Management Fee: May apply for large or multi-day projects
Travel & Accommodation:
For projects outside core service areas or >1 day
Client to provide board and lodging for on-site personnel
